Concert Schedule

All evening concerts are free and open to the public!

7:30 pm – Monday Night – Camper Block Party

Camper’s will enjoy a block party on the MHU campus parking lot located between Moore Auditorium and Bailey Mountain Dorm. This is a great time for campers to meet new friends and have fun.

7:30 pm – Tuesday Night – Faculty Recital

The Faculty Recital will be comprised of Mars Hill Summer Music Camp Counselors and Faculty performing as a soloist or with a small ensemble to show off their talents on their instruments.

7:30 pm – Wednesday Night – Faculty Jazz Band

The Faculty Jazz Band is comprised of current Mars Hill Summer Music Camp Faculty and Counselors. Among these players are many alumni, professional players, teachers, and college students.

7:30 pm – Thursday Night – Camp Jazz Bands

The Mars Hill Summer Music Camp’s Middle School and High School Jazz I and II Bands will perform pieces they have worked on during camp.

1:30 pm – Friday – Final Camp Concert and Awards

The Mars Hill Summer Music Camp’s Middle and High School’s Bands will perform prepared pieces.

Recreation Time

The Mars Hill Summer Music Camp will provide a range of “free time” activities for music camp students. The Health and Fitness Center features a campus swimming pool and basketball courts for volleyball during scheduled hours. The Campus Quad will be used for frisbee, baseball, soccer, and other outdoor activities. Students will also be allowed to go back to their dorm room during this time to take a nap, or socialize with students in their suite. Campers will be escorted to the Mars Hill University Store during the week to purchase Mars Hill apparel. All recreational venues will be under camp counselor supervision. Music camp counselors will closely supervise all activities. The health and safety of each camper is our primary concern.
