Roar (orientation)

We look forward to seeing you become a Mars Hill Lion! Roar is a multi-day orientation program that all new students participate in prior to the beginning of their first semester at Mars Hill University. You’ll get acquainted with the campus,  meet friends, find out about opportunities to get involved, meet with your instructor and First Year Mentor for your MHU 101 class, and participate in continuing and new traditions.

Some highlights include:

March Through the Arch
Students will ceremonially march through the Mars Hill College arch onto the Upper Quad where they will meet with their families for the family send-off.

Tacos & Team Flag Competition
Enjoy a taco snack and compete with your team against other teams for ROAR bragging rights.

True North
Students will participate in an MHU Tradition Event hosted by Mars Hill
Chaplain Rev. Stephanie McLeskey.

Tailgate and Football Scrimmage
Enjoy a tailgating meal before heading to Meares Stadium to cheer on the Lions football scrimmage.
