"Trying to Get By: Making Ends Meet in North Carolina" documents stories of North Carolinians trying to survive in today's low-wage service economy. The exhibit attaches a human face to today's disquieting statistics about workers who lack paid vacations, health care, and paid leave, while being vulnerable to wage theft and abusive bosses. Manufacturing Art Park Unveiling

Unveiling of the first piece in the Manufacturing Art Park on the Dr. Otis Duck Greenway. The project highlights the relationship between artists and the manufacturing industry while also adding a public art program to Madison County. "Mars Cutter" by David Sheldon was selected through a competitive juried process. It will be installed near the greenway entrance behind Ponder Field (softball field).

August 2- 12 Directed by SART founder, Jim Thomas, this comedy is based on the lives of three zealous missionary ladies and their goal to ensure the happiness of their niece through the use of colorful schemes. The protagonists are unconventional characters—speaking their minds, performing rituals and conducting secret meetings. During a”truth ceremony,” all parties could only tell the truth, leading to an interesting outcome.
