Interested in teaching licensure?

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, pursue a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T) graduate degree from MHU!

The Master of Arts in Teaching program is designed for students who currently hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in one or more of the following areas: biology, history, English, mathematics, business, theatre, or related fields and would like to seek teaching licensure. The M.A.T. is a graduate level initial licensure program the goal of which is to improve the education of students and their teachers. We carry out this mission by applying to the educational process all available knowledge about teaching, learning, and leadership in the context of an increasingly diverse society and a rapidly changing global economy. We believe that teachers who have a learner-centered and creative pedagogy, deep knowledge of the disciplines, and a commitment to critical agency have the opportunity to strengthen the community as a whole. In education, we see the opportunity to build a better society.
