Tennessee Neighbor Promise

50% Tuition Discount

We offer a tuition scholarship for our Tennessee neighbors, because a state line doesn’t mean we aren’t neighbors, and we extend an extra warm welcome for our friends just over the mountain.  We see our local area as those living within a close radius of our campus and we want to make sure we are accessible to students in our area. To do that, we have made a commitment, we call it our Tennessee Neighbor Promise. The Tennessee Neighbor Promise guarantees a minimum of a 50 percent discount on tuition to traditional undergraduate students who live or attend high school in the counties closest to the MHU campus. We have optimized financial aid, with tiered aid packages based on need. Many students may receive even more funding through grants and scholarships. 

Living near home has its benefits. Maybe it’s the opportunity to keep up with friends, a possibility of a nice homecooked meal once and a while, or you just want to stay where your roots are planted and give back in your own community… whatever it may be, attending this beautiful school in the mountains has plenty of perks!
