Case Competition 2023

Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership

Case Competition

Case competitions provide current and potential MHU students with opportunities to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations and learn through experience by presenting a business plan. The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership completed our inaugural High School Case Competition in September 2023. We had six teams from four area high schools present to a panel of judges comprised of local entrepreneurs. Students presented unique business plans for a small pickleball business. We gave away more than $7,000 to local high schoolers and their school.

The 2023 winners were:

1st place: Dax from Asheville High School

2nd place: Lynlee from Mountain Heritage High School

3rd place: Ella from Clyde A. Erwin High School

Brieley and Kiarra from Clyde A. Erwin high School

Thank you to our judges, Dan Whisnant, Freddie Killough, and Stephanie Hayes.

We look forward to supporting young entrepreneurs next year in our second annual High School Case Competition. We encourage you to keep checking back for our 2024 date.
