The beautifully landscaped campus of Mars Hill University is the perfect setting for a week of music study, practice, rehearsal, and performance. Many of the mountain region’s top conductors, music educators, and performers will serve on the faculty. Our administrative staff and camp counselors will supervise several fun and enjoyable co-curricular opportunities. Family members and friends of the student musicians are welcome to attend a Friday afternoon concert in Moore Auditorium.
Dates for the MHU Summer Music Camp:
June 16-21, 2024
Cost for the summer music camp is:
$500 (resident student staying on campus)
$400 (commuter student)
Private lessons cost:
$20 – 1 half hour lesson
$40 – 1 full hour lesson
Camp Classes
Campers will attend 2 classes daily that they will be able to choose when registering for camp.
Small Ensembles and Master Classes
Master classes are offered in all instruments that are guided by teachers proficient in that instrument. Campers will attend master classes daily with their section. Students will receive instruction in scales, sight-reading, and on all-district solos. Students will also learn proper instrument maintenance, skills, and techniques.
