Biltmore SSS/MHU Leadership Development Seminar

Program

Facilitators from the Biltmore Center for Professional Development (www.biltmore.com/training) will provide sessions addressing the following learning outcomes:

1) Help students find their personal “Why” and then connect this with personal mission and purpose, creating a platform that allows students to approach future decisions with integrity and clear vision.
2) To expose college student to professional development and training within a corporate setting allowing them to practice appropriate etiquette, and other professional behaviors.
3) To explore Kotter’s 8-step change module and how students can use this in both current and future opportunities. Project management/planning process, meeting planning, organizing change initiatives are just a few areas where these concepts apply.
4) To discover your personal brand and how to use it, carrying yourself as a professional, for job interviews and other professional situations.
5) To provide tools and resources for finding partners when pursuing change or goals.

Luncheon:

1) Catered by the renowned Biltmore Estate Executive Chefs. Offering students an opportunity to practice dining etiquette in a 5 star setting but with a learning atmosphere.
2) Biltmore Center for Professional Development will facilitate a panel discussion with 5-7 SSS/MHU Alumni incorporating the learning outcomes of sessions attended by students to foster an example of what success can look like for our students in the future.

Biltmore Estate Admission

1) A complimentary ticket to Biltmore Estate that is good for one year and can be used at the registrants discretion. The program will end around 2 pm and registrants are welcome to use their Biltmore Estate ticket to enjoy the Biltmore House for the remainder of the afternoon.

The Program schedule is tentatively as follows:

Monday, February 27, 2017

8:00am to 9:00am Registration and light breakfast
9:00 am to 10:20am Session One
10:20 am to 10:30 am Break
10:30 am to Noon Session Two
Noon to 2:00pm Luncheon/Panel
2:00 until Program ends and registrants are free to explore Biltmore Estate or travel back to their campus
