host your Summer camp or program at mhu

Summer programs: Whether you are holding a business retreat for 100 people, a church camp for 500, or a training session for 15, we welcome you and your guests to campus with open arms! We work with you to ensure that your program is a success. Let our expert staff help your program reach the goals for which YOU aim!

The environment for a spiritual retreat is different than for an athletic camp! We recognize this difference and help provide the support you need to make your program all you want it to be! Some organizations have held annual workshops and/or camps at Mars Hill University for over 40 years!

We have worked with all types of groups – churches, faith-based, advocacy, and other non-profit organizations; schools, home-school organizations, and other educational groups; small businesses, corporations, and government entities. We can offer classrooms, meeting spaces, and other facilities to accommodate your guests at affordable prices in the beautiful mountains of Western NC.

Groups wishing to make field trips off campus have an abundance of outdoor options, including white water rafting, hiking the Appalachian Trail, cycling, horseback riding, Zip-line tours, and more. Many historic sites are nearby including the Biltmore Estate, Carl Sandburg Home, Vance Birthplace Memorial Museum, and more. Nearby downtown Asheville has an array of art museums, theaters, shopping venues, and more to keep adults and kids well entertained!

Church Missions/Community Service Programs

Let us help you plan a summer mission trip for your church youth or adults. In addition to providing housing and meals, we can help coordinate your community service projects.

The rural areas of Madison and surrounding counties provide a number of opportunities to assist individuals and churches in many ways. The city of Asheville is only 20 minutes away, where you can serve the homeless and others who have need.

  • Meals available in university cafeteria (bagged lunches can be provided)
