Message Regarding Fall 2020 Move In Updates

Greetings MHU Lions,

It is with much excitement that we welcome you all back to campus in just a few short weeks. I wanted to share a few updates as you prepare for your arrival to the Hill.

Returning to the residence halls will be a significant undertaking, but together, we can do it safely. Plans for Housing and Residence Life were built on the following ideas:

• Student safety is the top priority.
• Housing and Residence Life is a crucial component for many students in their academic experience.
• Students ultimately are responsible for their own choices. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for living that allows for them to make those choices, while following specific university guidelines to ensure the safety of the community.

Please remember that due to the unpredictable nature of the Covid-19 situation, residence halls are scheduled to close at 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 24, 2020.

Students who are considered to be at high risk for severe illness should carefully consider whether moving into on-campus housing is the best option at this time.

Our team is determined to make your transition back to campus as smooth as possible. You are encouraged to contact the Housing and Residence Life team at residence-life@mhu.edu with any questions you may have.
