Important Message Regarding Monitoring COVID-19

Mars Hill University administration has been monitoring the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are currently considering how the university should respond. We are closely monitoring guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other health agencies.

Our administration and incident response team are carefully weighing options, as we evaluate our plan for the remainder of the semester. When that decision is made we will post an update on our website, as well as through email, text alert, and social media.

In the meantime, please continue to follow preventive health behaviors:

• Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue. If you don’t have a tissue, cough and sneeze into the inside of your elbow, not your hands.
• Stay home when sick.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces following CDC guidance for cleaning and disinfection
• Wash hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
