COVID-19: Message regarding spring athletics

As the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to create issues around the country and the world, out of an abundance of caution, Mars Hill University is closing most operations on campus for the remainder of the week and weekend. Supervisors should instruct their employees on how this impacts them as some functions on campus will still need to occur.

The NCAA has canceled all Winter and Spring Championships for Division I, II and III.  The South Atlantic Conference has also canceled practice and competition for the 2019-2020 academic year.  Based on these developments MHU will honor these decisions.  At this time, all athletes currently on campus are asked to leave campus for the remainder of the extended Spring Break.

As a reminder, we ask you to continue to try and prevent infection by following CDC guidelines at https://www.cdc.gov/. If you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath and believe you could have been exposed please contact your health care provider.
