Ally Training for Students

Mars Hill is sponsoring Ally Training for all interested students.  Students who participate will learn about LGBTQ terminology, ways to become better allies to the LGBTQ community, and learn more about campus climate.  This engaging and interactive workshop will be hosted by some of our trained Ally Training facilitators.  All MHU students are welcomed. Participants who complete the training will receive an MHU Ally sticker to place on their room door to signify that they are an MHU ally. Please…

MHU presents Ally Training, an introductory, engaging and relevant training on ways to support members of the LGBTQIA+ community here at Mars Hill.  Participants will: explore relevant and updated terminology, learn statistics that help paint the picture about campus climate for LGBTQIA+ students, and review ways to strengthen our ally abilities.  Participants who complete this workshop have the choice to receive a new MHU Ally sticker to place outside of their office door to signify their participation in the training.…

Careers in the Law Series: Lloyd Newman

Lloyd Newman is a current 3L (third year) law student at Campbell law.  Prior to going to law school, Lloyd was a paralegal for five years in the US Army JAG (Judge Advocate General’s) Corps in Fort Bragg, NC.  During his tenure in the U.S. Army JAG Corps he worked in diverse practice areas to include; administrative law, criminal law, federal litigation, and national security law.
