M. Paige Taylor is an educator and creative based in Asheville, NC. She has worked as an art educator in art museums in California, New Mexico, and North Carolina. Currently, she teaches photography courses at Mars Hill University and for the University of New Mexico. She earned a BFA in photography from Bard College (NY) and an MFA in art from the Art Center College of Design (CA).
Taylor’s color photographs explore vernacular spaces finding potential and value in everyday objects and places. While many images are absent of the human figure, they are laden with the human trace. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions across the United States. She was awarded an Individual Artist Opportunity Grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts (DDA) and The National Endowment for the Arts. She is a member of the Society for Photographic Education (SPE) and the American Association of University Women (AAUW). She enjoys meeting new people of all ages and engaging them in a thoughtful exploration of art.
