I have been working as an art therapist/counselor for the past ten years in a variety of settings including wilderness therapy programs, community mental health organizations, hospices, schools, and prisons. I am passionate about art therapy because I have witnessed the healing potential of this modality. Art therapy utilizes the creation of art in order to address clients’ therapeutic goals, offering individuals the space to express themselves differently than conventional approaches to counseling/therapy. I feel so fortunate to be able to teach others about the healing power of art.
