Currently the Director of the Cothran Center for Career Readiness at Mars Hill University, in Mars Hill, North Carolina. Prior to this appointment, he spent a little over six years as the Director of the Mars Hill Fund in the Office of Advancement.

His background includes comprehensive branding and message development experience in multiple industries, and still has a passion for exploring new ideas and new channels for creative expression and fulfillment.

He started as an advertising copywriter for Parisian, a chain of specialty apparel stores across the southeast. He later worked for Southern Progress Corporation in the Southern Living Magazine Group, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia, and finally as a book editor for Lark Books and Sterling Publishing (part of Barnes & Noble Publishing). He has also been a freelance writer and contract marketing services provider serving clients such as NASCAR, Target, software companies, and manufacturers.
