Mars Hill University will welcome about 120 new students on Saturday, July 15, 2017, for its final First Year Pre-Orientation day of the year. First Year Pre-Orientation, or FYPO, gives incoming students a chance to get a head-start on their college experience by introducing them to the campus community before the start of their first semester. Mars Hill University holds four FYPO events during the spring and summer. The fall semester of the 2017-18 school year begins August 22.
Students will meet their First Year Mentors, current Mars Hill students who provide support as new students get acclimated to the college experience. FYPO also gives students an overview of campus life, from the residential living experience to exploring options for on-campus dining. Mars Hill faculty will be available to give students an overview of various academic disciplines and to assist with fine tuning fall semester class scheduled.
FYPO also includes a track for parents and other family members, with sessions on Mars Hill’s academic programs, financial aid opportunities, and student success resources.
For more information about FYPO or admission to Mars Hill University, contact the admissions office at (828) 689-1201 or email admissions@mhu.edu.
