New Dean of Adult and Graduate Studies Program Announced

The Adult and Graduate Studies program (AGS) has a new dean. Meredith Doster is the new leader of the program which provides the university’s classes for older students, educational licensure seekers, and graduate students. Meredith is completing her Ph.D. at Emory University, received her master’s degree from Appalachian State University, and completed her undergraduate studies at Barnard College. She has taught at Emory, Appalachian State, and Lyon College, where she also worked in the Upward Bound program as the peer mentoring coordinator. She says she’s excited to join MHU and continue the university’s historic commitment to non-traditional learners in Western North Carolina. (The former AGS dean, Marie Nicholson, is now MHU’s registrar.)

Jenny Webb has joined the Adult and Graduate Studies program as an admissions counselor. Jenny’s a graduate of Western Carolina University and longtime resident of the area. And she’s no stranger to MHU, as she’s most recently been working as a telecounselor in the traditional undergraduate admissions office.
