Groundbreaking Set for Athletics Field House

Mars Hill University will break ground October 21, 2017, for the Jo Ellen Ammons Athletic Field House.

The 14,500 square foot field house will support all football operations (coaches’ offices, weight room, and dedicated locker room), women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s tennis. The field house also will include an expanded athletic training area for all sports. Future expansion will provide space for men’s and women’s lacrosse and men’s soccer.

The groundbreaking will take place near the construction site at the corner of Athletic Street and NC 213 in Mars Hill, immediately following the conclusion of the homecoming football game (about 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.)
