Mars Hill University Opens Doors for Adult Learners with Scholarship Contest

Mars Hill University is excited to extend a helping hand to someone pursuing their college dream. For a second year, the university is holding a contest to award one full-tuition scholarship. The College Completion Scholarship Contest, organized by Mars Hill’s Adult and Graduate Studies program, aims to empower adults who want to earn a bachelor’s degree in business, education, psychology, or social work.

The College Completion Scholarship is an opportunity for someone who started college but had to drop out because of medical or financial issues or another life event, or for someone who never had the opportunity to pursue a college degree. The contest consists of a short essay about how the scholarship would impact the nominee. The application and full rules are available on the university website at mhu.edu/collegecompletion.

The contest runs through July 10, 2023, and the winner will be announced on July 17. Nominees must meet Adult and Graduate Studies entry requirements, including being at least 23 years old, and must be able to begin the degree program in the fall 2023 or spring 2024 semester. The scholarship covers tuition as well as textbooks.

Degrees available to the contest winner are the Bachelor of Science in Business Management, offered online; Bachelor of Arts in Education (either elementary education or integrated education), offered in a hybrid online and seated format; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, offered online; and Bachelor of Social Work, offered online.
