Students must choose from one of the two move-in date/time options based on their month of birth

  • All students and families will report to Ferguson Math and Science Center. Everyone who is part of the student’s guests will have their temperature taken before entering Ferguson;
  • Once they arrive and are checked-in, they will be directed to their residence hall;
  • There will be only one entrance and one exit in the residence halls, which will help with the flow of traffic;
  • In an effort to limit the amount of people in the residence halls, only two members of a student’s family may be in the residence hall at the same time. Other members of a student’s family may wait outside under our tents;
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be readily available at the entrance of our residence halls;
  • Unless there are extenuating circumstances, students, in an effort to increase safety, may not switch roommates until August 31. After August 31, roommate switches will be approved as needed on a case-by-case basis.

CONTINUING STUDENT CHECK-IN INFORMATION

In our continuing effort to maintain safety, the following procedures have been implemented for returning student check-in. We have staggered returning students by their last name. Students will have two check-in times from which to choose based on their last name.

MOVE-IN PROCESS

  • Residents will check-in during their designated check-in time they choose;
  • Housing and Residence Life will work with Medical Services to create a symptom self-assessment tool. All residents and guests must complete the symptom self-assessment tool before arriving on campus. If you fail the self-assessment, please stay home and we can coordinate a later arrival for you. If a guest fails the self-assessment, please have them stay home;
  • All residents and guests will have their temperature checked on the day of move-in;
  • ALL residents and guests are required to wear a mask while indoors, with the exception being a student’s residence hall room. Residents and guests should also wear a mask when outdoors if they cannot engage in physical distancing. Please ensure you bring masks for you and your guests to utilize during move-in and check-in. Students will be provided with an MHU issued mask at check-in;
  • Keep your distance from others during move-in, at least 6 feet or more;
  • Elevators will have a 1 person capacity;
  • Elevators, entry and exit door handles will be sanitized regularly; however, be sure to regularly wash your hands;
  • Pack essential and necessary items – clothing, cleaning supplies, academic/course materials, etc.;
