Mars Hill University To Celebrate Graduates on December 12

Mars Hill University will recognize its summer and fall graduates during its commencement ceremony on Friday, December 12, 2025. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Moore Auditorium and will be livestreamed on the university’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/@MarsHillU.

Speakers for the event will be Brent Townsend, chair of the university’s board of trustees and a 2003 Mars Hill graduate, and Ashlin Mathews Hensley, a health and human performance major from Burnsville, North Carolina.

Earlier in the day the university will recognize Heritage Students—graduates whose parents or other immediate family members are Mars Hill alumni—by presenting them a special cord to wear with their cap and gown regalia.

Mars Hill University holds two graduation ceremonies each year: one in May for graduates who complete their degrees in the spring semester, and one in December for graduates who complete degree requirements during the summer or fall terms.
