Center for Student Success

The Center for Student Success (CSS) is a department that collaborates closely with both academic and student affairs to assist students in persisting at the university. Comprised of multiple functioning areas, CSS integrates the mission of the university through curricular and co-curricular experiences. As students navigate their college experience at Mars Hill, the CSS staff works to ensure students are connected to campus resources while establishing life-long relationships in their home away from home.

Student Support Services

The Mars Hill University Student Support Services Program, a TRiO program, is 100% funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

Our services and resources may include, but are not limited to:

  • Academic and Personal Advising
  • Peer tutoring
  • The SSS Computer Lab and Resource Center
  • The SSS Study Center
  • Assisting students with academic accommodations
  • Workshops and Seminars
  • Exposure to Cultural Programs

Career Readiness

The Cothran Center for Career Readiness aims to assist students in their search for internships, grad school programs and employment options during and after their experience at Mars Hill University.
