Profile

Mary LaBianca has a B.A. in interdisciplinary studies from UNC Asheville with concentrations in painting, drawing and dance and an M.F.A. in choreography and performance from Mills College in Oakland, California. She has taught, danced and presented choreography in California, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Wanting to understand more about ceramics and craft, she is also a recent graduate of Haywood Community College’s Professional Crafts program in clay. She is currently an Artist in Residence at Mars Hill University, a ceramic artist working in the Asheville River Arts District, and a teacher of dance and ceramics in Western North Carolina.
