Find out more »Hanemann is a highly experienced and accomplished metal worker. He grew up in southern Louisiana, surrounded by the oil processing, commercial fishing, and fabrication industries. One of their by-products was scrap: cast-offs from manufacturing, junked machinery, and other items that were no longer of value to their original owners. In his artworks, Hanemann uses these discarded and recycled metal objects. His exhibit runs through March 5.

Find out more »Exhibition title: Window Boxes Weizenblatt Gallery’s second exhibition of the 20-21 school year will feature constructions by Joyce Blunk. Joyce is an Asheville-based artist who creates small, beautifully-crafted constructions that remind one of windows to magical experiences. They use ordinary items to evoke natural mountain settings, giving the viewer an insight to another world. Her works will be on view from September 29 to October 16.
