Experience a full day of hands-on learning and inspiration alongside members of Music City Drum Corps! Whether you’re a brass, woodwind, percussion, or color guard performer, this clinic offers the chance to work with MCDC staff and members in an exciting, educational environment.

Participants will receive focused instruction on technique, fundamentals, warm-ups, and performance material—and will get to rehearse and perform side-by-side with current MCDC members. The day ends with a showcase of what you’ve learned and a chance to see the corps in action during their evening ensemble rehearsal.
Whether you’re exploring drum corps for the first time or aiming to take your skills to the next level, this is your chance to step inside the world of Music City!

Clinic Schedule:

  • 9 a.m. – Registration
  • 10 a.m. – Visual Block with Taylor (PT, marching technique, MCDC-style warm-up)
  • 11:30 a.m. – Sectionals with acting caption heads (winds, percussion, and guard masterclasses)
  • 1 p.m. – Lunch in Pittman Dining Hall
  • 2 p.m. – Sectionals continue
  • 3 p.m. – Side-by-Side Sectionals with MCDC members (prepare for performance)
  • 4:15 p.m. – Show & Tell performance
  • 5 p.m. – Dinner (participants may depart, eat on campus, or explore downtown; invited to observe MCDC ensemble rehearsal afterward)
