Heidi Sermersheim is the Executive Assistant for Advancement. The majority of Heidi’s career has been dedicated to higher education. Heidi has experience in managing projects, is flexible, adaptable and transformational. While balancing work, family and the demands of adult life; she battled cancer and obtained a Bachelor’s degree. As a cancer survivor, Heidi often conveys how the diagnosis of cancer holistically and powerfully transformed her life calling into one of service. As Mahatma Gandhi said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” When referencing her work at Mars Hill University, Heidi’s words speak for themselves: “Beyond gratitude, I am found”.
