Profile

Gavin grew up in Buffalo, New York. After moving to Knoxville, Tennessee, he entered the U.S. Air Force, where he maintained ejection seats and related systems on the B-2 and T-38 aircraft. After leaving the Air Force he studied sport and leisure management at East Tennessee State University and then earned his master’s in student development at Western Carolina University. Gavin loves being outdoors and exploring the beautiful Appalachian Mountains with his wife, son, and two dogs. Gavin comes from a family of educators and is proud to be continuing that tradition while serving the MHU community.
