“Where We Worked” examines the history of the Capitola Manufacturing Company that stood in Marshall on the banks of the French Broad River during the early 20th century. The exhibits looks at the impact the Capitola Manufacturing Company, and the companies that used the historic mill building following Capitola’s closing, had on the town of Marshall and the larger Madison County community by discussing local economics, employment, child labor, and social impact of the mill itself.
