Golden Lion Awards, featuring A Moment’s Notice

Mars Hill University Theatre Arts will hold its annual Golden Lion Awards in Owen Theatre. The evening will feature a performance of the student-written play “A Momen’ts Notice,” as well as awards and refreshments.

The Mars Hill University Theatre Arts Department is proud to present “A Moment’s Notice,” a one-act drama written by a student for their senior project and directed by Theatre Arts Department Chair Sue Fair. The performance will take place on April 28th at 6PM in the Owen Theatre on the university’s campus.

The Mars Hill University Theatre Arts Department is proud to present this one-act drama and invites the community to come out and support our talented student performers. The performance promises to be an evening of thought-provoking entertainment that will leave a lasting impression on all who attend.

“A Moment’s Notice” is a powerful story about a young girl who accidentally comes out to her very religious and conservative mother. The play explores the struggles and challenges that the girl and her mother face as they navigate through this unexpected revelation.

The play’s writer, a senior of the Mars Hill University Theatre Arts Department, has crafted a compelling and emotional story that explores important themes of identity, acceptance, and understanding. “A Moment’s Notice” is a must-see for anyone interested in thought-provoking and socially relevant theater.
