The MHU Theatre Arts Family Reunion is a celebration for all who have been part of the theatre arts history at Mars Hill University. The original event in September 2024 was canceled due to Hurricane Helene, and now we are celebrating in March 2025.
Join us Friday, March 21, 2025, from 1–5 p.m. for a backstage pass to Owen Theatre, the James Thomas Black Box, plus the Memory Lane collection of 100 years of theatre arts memorabilia. An informal kick off gathering occurs at 7 p.m. at Owen for all to share a short story about their Mars Hill theatre experience. A welcome reception with light refreshments happens at 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday morning, March 22, 2025, join us for coffee and pastries as the Memory Lane exhibit and Owen open at 9 a.m. The Grand Gathering in Owen at 11 a.m. includes introductions of faculty, staff, and guests; a cast photo; remembrance of those who have passed; and the Mars Hill Theatre Through the Decades slide show.
At 7:30 p.m., Susan King ’76 will perform The Belle of Amherst in Owen Theatre, followed by a reception in Day Hall. Please reserve your seat. There’s no ticket price, but donations to the Mars Hill Scholarship Fund are invited.
Enjoy meals on your own as you reminisce with friends and castmates.
