The MHU Theatre Arts Family Reunion is a celebration for all who have been part of the theatre arts history at Mars Hill University.
Join us Friday, September 27, 2024, for a campus tour, a backstage pass to Owen Theatre and the James Thomas Black Box, and the Memory Lane collection of 100 years of theatre arts memorabilia. Susan King ’76 will perform The Belle of Amherst at 7:30 p.m. in Owen Theatre, followed by a reception at Day Hall. Please reserve your seat. There’s no ticket price, but donations to the Mars Hill Scholarship Fund are invited.
On Saturday morning, September 28, 2024, join us for coffee as the Memory Lane exhibit and Owen open at 9 a.m. A formal welcome happens in Owen at 11 a.m. with introductions of faculty, staff, and special guests, and the making of a cast photo.
Enjoy lunch on your own as you reminisce with friends and castmates.
You’ll need a ticket for an Italian buffet dinner on campus at Redway Dining Room at 5:30 p.m. The denouement of the weekend is the Grand Gathering at 7:30 in Owen Theatre. We’ll recognize special guests, faculty and staff, and student groups, remember those who have passed, and delight in a slide show of past theatrical moments from MHU.
