Join us for a night stargazing trip to the Grassland Mountain Observatory right here in Madison County. We’ll be guided by astronomers from the Astronomy Club of Asheville, and we’ll use high-tech telescopes to see bright planets, the Milky Way, and stars, stars, stars. We will leave campus around 4:30 pm and will have a picnic dinner atop the mountain as the sun sets before the stargazing begins. The trip is free and transportation and food will be provided.
Space is limited and you must pre-register. Sign up before Tuesday Oct. 1, 2019 by emailing Leila Weinstein, Program Coordinator Appalachian Studies Program: Lweinstein@mhu.edu.
