Natural Dye

March 30 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join artist Jackie Mulhall and learn how to use natural dye to dye a piece of fabric that can be used as a bandana or to wrap a gift. No art experience necessary!

In this natural dye workshop we’ll be experimenting with marigold, cosmos, bearded beggar ticks, and cochineal. Participants will learn how to make a natural dye bath and how to create designs on silk and cotton. Participants will leave with a naturally dyed cotton bandana and silk bandana. These cloths have many uses as fashion accessories, or a sustainable way to wrap a gift. Please arrive on time because there are many wonderful things to learn in a short time period!

This is a PAWS event and is open to MHU students only. Because there are limited spaces, you must reserve a [free] ticket to attend. Tickets are available here.
