Jazz Festival

Mars Hill University’s Theatre Arts, Dance, and Music Departments, under the music direction of Chuck Taft, and the choreography of Amanda Hoyte, presents a Jazz Festival April 15th 2PM and April 18th 11AM in Moore Auditorium.

The production, directed by Taft and Hoyte, is a cabaret style show that includes an amazing ensemble of students from the Music, Dance and Theatre Arts department. The Jazz Festival, will have live music which will be provided by the Mars Hill University’s Music Department. The showcase will include music from the musicals such as, Chicago, The Wild Party and Smash. Amanda Hoyte’s Jazz (TA226.01) class will be performing numbers, composed by notable jazz enthusiasts. There will even be a faculty performance at the event.

Other members of the creative team include Music Department Faculty, Technical Designer Andrew Zebrowski and Anne Knight as the Costume Designer.

Performances of The Jazz Festival will be presented in the Moore Auditorium on the Mars Hill University Campus. Tickets are free for everyone; reservation are recommended but not required.
