First Annual Stack Cake Workshop (Students Only)

October 17 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In this workshop, you’ll get a chance to do some hands-on baking with Dr. Maia Surdam, who is a food historian and educator. We’ll be creating a stack cake, a traditional fall cake made in many parts of the Appalachian Mountains. On day one (Monday) of the workshop, we’ll be baking and assembling the cake and on day two of the workshop (Wednesday), you guessed it – we’ll be eating the cake! Each participant will go home with a recipe card.

This workshop is for MHU students only and space is limited. It is free, but please sign up here in order to reserve your space.
