Weizenblatt Gallery’s first exhibition of the school year will show the current work of the MHU faculty as well as selected MHU alumni. It will highlight the wide variety of styles that our MHU artists are following. On the faculty side, it will include ceramics by Shane Mickey and Liz Summerfield, paintings by Scott Lowrey and Skip Rohde, graphics by our new Graphics Design professor Lora Eggleston, and photography by Paige Taylor. Alumni will include Kristalyn Bunyan, Sarah Ingalls, Kendall Bines, Kiersten Foust, and Emiley Burriss. They are working in a variety of media including photography, digital design, fiber, graphic design, and drawing. The exhibition will be a chance to see what skills and capabilities the faculty bring to MHU, while also showing what MHU alumni are producing post-graduation.
Weizenblatt Gallery is on the main floor of the Moore Fine Arts Building. The exhibition will open on Wednesday, August 31. There will be a reception on Wednesday, Sept 7, from 6-8 pm. The show will end on Friday, September 16. Hours are 10-4 Monday through Friday, closed weekends and holidays. Admission, as always, is free.
