Exploring MHU’s Connection to the Cherokee: Land, Legacy, and Education

This “Unveiling Our Treasures” presentation by 2022 Hart-Melvin Archival Research Faculty Fellow Dr. Ann Peiffer and students from PSY 316 describes how the class sought to deepen MHU’s relationship with the Cherokee through a variety of experiences. PSY 316 students studied the importance of language to Cherokee history and culture, as well as the impact of current language revitalization efforts.
