The game the Esports team will be competing in this semester is Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. In this game, players control one of a wide variety of popular characters from video games through the ages. In one-on-one matches each player attempts to cause enough damage to their opponent to allow them to be thrown off of the top, sides, or bottom of the stage, which causes them to lose one “Stock”. The first opponent to lose all of their stocks loses the match. As a player takes more damage, they fly farther and farther off the edge of the stage, and knocking them out of bounds becomes much easier.

Matches are fast-paced, visually exciting, and relatively easy to follow.
