Lloyd Newman is a current 3L (third year) law student at Campbell law. Prior to going to law school, Lloyd was a paralegal for five years in the US Army JAG (Judge Advocate General’s) Corps in Fort Bragg, NC. During his tenure in the U.S. Army JAG Corps he worked in diverse practice areas to include; administrative law, criminal law, federal litigation, and national security law. He served as a trainer for new paralegals and attorneys and taught advanced research skills and proper utilization of paraprofessionals. He continues to serve in the U.S. Army reserve with the 134th Legal Operations Detachment in Garner, North Carolina while finishing up his legal studies.
He will discuss his career as a paralegal, serving in the JAG corps, applying to law school and being a law student. There will be time for Q&A.
