Join forager, fiddler (and chef!) Susi Gott Séguret for a walk in the spring woods of her family’s 200+ acre farm in northern Madison County, overlooking the crest of the Appalachian Trail.
We’ll start with the walk, identifying edible (and non-edible) plants along the way, including ramps and an array of spring wildflowers, we’ll visit the cabin studio of artist, painter Polly Gott, and we’ll dance a step to the banjo of musician, dance-caller, log cabin master Peter Gott. We’ll also sample a taste of the ingredients we have gathered with a celebrational glass of spicebush tea as the late afternoon sun sinks over the hill. (Rain date: April 24).
This trip is filled up, but please email lweinstein@mhu.edu to be placed on the waitlist in case spaces open.
