Residence Halls

Bailey Mtn Dorm1One question you will be asked on your housing contract is your residence hall preference. Read through the descriptions linked to this page to determine which building you would most prefer to live in.

Be aware that upper class students get their first choice of rooms and few, if any, first year students get to live in Bailey Mountain, Dickson-Palmer, Turner, or Brown. Rooms for new students are awarded on a first come-first served basis so the students who return their housing contracts (with $250 Advance Tuition Payment) first will be given priority.

Most first-year women live in Stroup and Hufman and most first year men live in Myers and Edna Moore. These four buildings do not have single rooms but if space is available students who request it will be allowed, at an additional cost, to have the double room as a “private” without a roommate.

Review the per-semester cost for each residence hall.  Then, complete the New Student Housing and Meal Plan Contract. Finally, send in the $250 Advance Tuition Payment (check, Money Order, or Credit Card Number).
