Delta Zeta Receives Multiple Awards

News Delta ZetaMars Hill University’s Omicron Xi Chapter of Delta Zeta National Sorority was presented with multiple achievement awards at the Sorority’s regional leadership workshop on February 1, 2014.

Omicron Xi Chapter received the following Chapter awards:

  • Highest New Member GPA – 2013
  • Most Improved Chapter Scholarship – 2013 (The chapter’s total GPA increased by 0.23.)
  • Highest Chapter GPA In Region XIV – Spring 2013
  • Highest New Member GPA In Region XIV- Spring 2013
  • Most Improved Chapter GPA in Region XIV- Spring 2013
  • Chapter GPA Above the All Sorority Average – Spring 2013
  • Chapter GPA Above the All Women’s Average – Spring 2013
  • Chapter GPA Above the All Sorority Average- Fall 2013
  • Chapter GPA Above the All Women’s Average – Fall 2013
  • Omicron Xi Reached their Total Number of Sisters
  • Omicron Xi Maintained their Total Number of Sisters
  • Omicron Xi Had 100% Initiation
  • Omicron Xi Was Placed in the Lamp Level of Foundation Giving

Individual sisters received the following awards:

  • Anna Hamilton received the award for highest GPA For Fall 2013
  • Sarah Graves received the 2013 Golden Crest, an award given to the sister who has put the most “elbow grease” into the chapter.
  • Amy Leatherwood was presented the award for Best Vice President of Membership for Region XVI.
  • Julie Bolling received the Outstanding Collegian award, for service to her chapter as well as her campus and her community.
  • Alex Vines received the Outstanding Junior award, also called the Karen Lee Memorial, for service to her chapter, campus and community. 
  • Ariail Hammond was recognized and thanked by the region for her service as the 2013 Omicron Xi Chapter President.
