Mars Hill University Graduation Planned for May 10

Mars Hill University will hold its spring commencement ceremonies on May 10 at 9:30 am in Moore Auditorium. Of the expected graduates, 121 will receive bachelor’s degrees and six will receive the Master of Education degree.

The most popular major groups for the undergraduates are education (elementary, middle grades, integrated, special education, music education, physical education etc.); business (business administration and business management) and social work.

Keynote speaker for the graduation will be Rev. Dr. Dixon Free, former pastor of First Baptist Church of Lincolnton, North Carolina and current chair of the MHU Board of Trustees.

Ebony Simpson, an art major from Wingate, NC will be the traditional age student speaker for the graduation. The adult and graduate studies (AGS) student speaker will be Nathan Rice, a social work major from Asheville, NC. The invocation will be given by India Ellis, a business administration major from Spruce Pine, NC.

Friends, family and members of the public who will be unable to attend the graduation can see the event streaming live on the Mars Hill University athletics website.
