Dr. Adrienne Akins Warfield teaches courses in American literature, freshman composition, and English Education, including ENG 111: Introduction to Academic Writing; ENG 112: Writing Across the Curriculum; ENG 190: Introduction to Literature; ENG 205: American Literature Survey; ENG 312: Adolescent Literature; ENG 322: American Literature Since 1900; ENG 329: Diversity in American Literature; ENG 335: Modern and Contemporary Literature; ENG 355: Social Justice in Literature and Culture; and ED 474: English Education Practicum. She is the coordinator of MHU’s secondary English Education program. She has published on authors including James Baldwin, Willa Cather, Sandra Cisneros, Roberta Fernández, Zora Neale Hurston, Arthur Miller, Walker Percy, Leslie Marmon Silko, John Steinbeck, Mark Twain, and Eudora Welty.
