Patricia Mathes- Senior Class President
I am Patricia Mathes from Raleigh, NC. I am a senior studying recreation/sports management with a psychology minor. Along with serving as the Senior Class President, I am also the Black Student Association’s Vice-President, the Joyful Noise Choir President, a Student Conduct Board member, and a Residential Advisor. My favorite quote is, “When life kicks you, let it kick you forward,” by Kay Yow.

Leah Behar-Senior Class Vice-President

Shirley-Senior Class Secretary/Treasurer
Hello my name is Shirley Moredock. I am majoring in Organismal Biology and I am currently a senior. My future career goal is to be an exotic animal veterinarian. I was born and raised in Neptune Beach, FL, which is just outside of Jacksonville, FL. I originally attended college at Flagler, but did not feel like I had a strong friendship group, or a place to call home until I transferred to Mars Hill University my sophomore year. During my time at Mars Hill I have joined the National Honors Society, was a Resident Assistant, traveled to Nicaragua with the educational department, and have been a member of the Young Republicans club. This past summer I was accepted to a college veterinarian program that took me all the way to Thailand where I was able to live and work with elephants. The quote that has always inspired me is, “You can never afford to have an enemy.” However my favorite quote is, “You can do anything you want if you’re willing to pay the price.”
