Student Religious Groups
There are many opportunities for students to become involved in missions, Bible study, fellowship, service projects and trips by joining the religious life groups on campus.
Christian Student Movement is sponsored and directed by the Campus Ministry Department at MHU. It is made up of students from various denominations whose goal is to make a united Christian witness both on and off campus. Our weekly program is called “Merge,” to emphasize the unity of coming together as a community of faith. We meet in Timberline of the Wren Student Union every Tuesday at 7pm for praise and worship and a program, then fellowship over snacks.
CSM’s “Ministry In Motion” takes the excitement of what God is doing in students’ lives off campus, as we engage in leading worship or service projects with area youth groups and churches.
CSM and LifeWorks went to Florida during Spring Break to participate in several service projects. Thirteen students along with four staff cleaned up the Causeway, assisted Tampa Bay Watch in building oyster beds, and removed invasive plants at Lake Moccasin Nature Center.
Living for Christ can be challenging during the college years, when students endure pressures and temptations that can be unique to them. Yes, FCA is here to serve athletes, but not just athletes. All Christians are called to “run with patience the race that is set before us” (Heb. 12:1), and FCA strives to let young people know they are part of a caring team as they run their personal race of faith.
FCA meets once weekly, on Thursday nights at 8:00pm in the Blue Lounge of the Wren Student Union. Through Bible study, discussion, and fellowship FCA provides students with encouragement, support, and knowledge in living out their faith every day.
blueprint is an MHU student organization which revolves around the notion that Jesus Christ holds the ultimate blueprint for your life! blueprint hopes to provide MHC students with an environment to investigate God, to explore the idea of having a personal relationship with His son, Jesus, and to grow in that relationship. Plus, well, we have awesome coffee!
Join us in Bentley Fellowship Hall, each Wednesday night at 6:30pm for our pre-meeting fellowship time and free coffee house. Then, we’ll have praise and worship using contemporary praise music followed by a local speaker or other programming. Finally, participants break up into small groups for study, discussion and prayer. Join us as we explore God’s blueprint for a remarkable, authentic life!
