Every AIM Student is required to complete an Internship of their choice, related to the major. The Internship (AIM 463) is a 6 credit hour course and may be completed during the school year or summer, either local or abroad. Through this experience, students gain professional experience in a future career field, create connections with professionals, and build their resume and portfolio. 

2014 Internships

Rachel was a Sales Intern at an upscale, women's boutique called Head Over Heels in Ocean City, NJ. Rachel worked with brands such as, Vera Bradley, and Brighton Jewelry in her boutique. She received experience in inventory shipments, visual displays, being a personal shopper, and customer service. 

Shelby did her internship at Bethel Christian Academy as a Marketing Communications Intern, in Spruce Pine, NC. She got first hand experience assisting and developing an apparel brand and logo for the school. She also had a hand in advertising for the school through newspapers, magazines, and radio

Becky interned at Ten Thousand Villages, a non-profit, fair trade retailer in Asheville, NC as a Creative/Visual Intern. She was able to gain insight into fair trade, non-profit retailing as well as work on the visual displays. She also was able to help create a training program for visual merchandising.
