What is my Mars Hill email user name and password?

To access Webmail, Moodle or Self-Service, use the links at the top of any page here on www.mhu.edu. Your username is your first and last name, followed by a number (for example, JohnDoe1). When your account first is created, your password is mHu, followed by your 8-digit birthdate, in MMDDYYYY format (for example, mHu12251988). Your MHU email address is your username followed by @mhu.edu (for example, JohnDoe1@mhu.edu).

Is Financial Aid available? 

To find out if your qualify for federal loans and grants, you must fill out the FAFSA (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov). Some scholarships and regional funding are also available. 
 

How do I get my textbooks? 

Since fall 2015, textbooks now are included in the tuition cost. Textbooks are provided to students on a rental basis and must be returned at the end of the term - unless students wish to purchase them. Pick-up/delivery details will be provided at the beginning of each term. For more information, please call Karla at the bookstore at 828-689-1412 or email kchandler@mhu.edu.

What time is class each night?

Classes generally are held from 6:00PM to 10:00PM. Please plan on attending the entire time, each week.
 

Will I need a parking sticker?

AGS students do not need to purchase parking stickers. However, we do need all AGS students to fill out a vehicle registration form. The link to this form is under Forms and Information with directions on filling out the form. Once this form is completed, students will be issued a hangtag.

Will I need immunization records?

You will need immunization records only if you are taking an on campus DAY CLASS at Mars Hill University.
 

How do I register for classes each semester?

After your initial registration process, you can register for classes online, through Self-Service.
 

Will I have an advisor? 

You will be assigned an academic advisor. This assignment will be sent to you in your admission packet.
 

Where will my classes be held?

Please check Self-Service immediately prior to the beginning of class for the most updated room assignments.
 

What happens in the event of bad weather? 

Call the WEATHERLINE at (828) 689-1728 after 4:00PM for a voicemail announcing any cancellations for on- and off-campus (Asheville, Burnsville) AGS night classes. This announcement will also be posted in the announcement section of our webpage and on our Facebook page.
